Welcome back to school everyone. Hearing stories of holiday adventures from both children and their families was the highlight of my first 2019 school day. Thank you to all students, staff and families for such a smooth beginning to the 2019 school year.What a pleasant surprise it was when the builders rang last week to arrange handover of the newly completed classrooms. Even if I say so myself, the school looks remarkably well presented and a welcoming environment for our school community. As I visited classrooms today, students appeared settled with their new teachers and preparing their workbooks for the rest of the year. Our 2019 foundation students begin tomorrow. We have approximately 80 students at this level of the school who will be welcomed with enthusiasm in the morning. I look forward to catching up with the school community at the “Welcome Picnic” on Wednesday February 13th.
