The students in year 1 have been exploring the relaxing art of Zen Tangles. They practised mark making with repetitive line, shape and colour before using their knowledge of pattern to create magnificent ‘crazy hair’ portraits using oil pastels. The vibrant artworks were then enhanced with an ink wash, resulting in a pastel resist. I’m sure you will agree that the finished pieces are amazing!
