Toorak Primary School is committed to maintaining excellent outcomes in teaching and learning. We believe that integrating portable ICT devices into our curriculum is essential for preparing our students for the future. By placing technology into the hands of our students, we create opportunities to individualize learning, increase independence, and promote self-initiated learning both within and beyond the classroom.
Our Foundation to Grade 2 students regularly use school iPads to enhance their learning in literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, and creative expression. This hands-on approach fosters digital literacy and prepares students to transition seamlessly into our Senior School Netbook Program, where they continue developing their technology skills in an engaging and structured environment.
When your child reaches Grade 3, they will be encouraged to participate in our BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Netbook Program to ensure they have consistent access to technology to support their learning both in the classroom and at home. To support our students with any IT-related issues, we have an on-site IT Technician available. This ensures that technical problems are promptly addressed, minimizing disruptions to learning.
