Foundation 2027 Enrolment

To start Foundation in 2027, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30 April 2027. Schooling is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.

This year, our school is using VicStudents, an Online Enrolment System for Foundation enrolments in Victorian government schools.

VicStudents has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security.

Steps to Enrol

Determine School Eligibility:
Use Find my School to determine if Toorak Primary School is your neighbourhood school. If your residential address is outside our school boundary, please contact the office on 9827 2959 to discuss enrolment.

Enrolment Outcome:
You will be notified of your enrolment outcome between Monday, 3 August and Friday, 14 August 2026.
If you receive an enrolment offer, please accept it by Friday, 28 August 2026.

Participation in Transition Sessions:
Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2026

• 28th October-  9.15am to 10am - Uniform supplier onsite 10am to 1pm
• 11th November-  9.15am to 10am
• 25 November - 9.15am to 10am
• 8th December- 9.15am to 10.30am

Enrolment Grade 1 to Grade 6

If your child is in Grade 1 to 6 and you would like to enrol at Toorak Primary School, please contact the school on 9827 2959 or complete an expression of interest form and email to toorak.ps@education.vic.gov.au.

Year 7 enrolments 

 All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Year 6 to 7 placement timeline.?? 

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government secondary school. Applications for Year 7 open at the start of Term 2.? 

 Victorian government primary schools manage the Year 7 placement process for their Year 6 students in accordance with the timeline. At the start of Term 2, primary schools will distribute information packs to parents and carers.??

Medical Emergency Information

• In the event that a student is injured at school or while participating in a school activity and requires medical treatment, parents/carers are responsible for all of their child’s medical expenses. This includes transport costs such as ambulance costs (which may include an air ambulance if considered necessary)
• In a medical emergency, Toorak Primary School will prioritise the child and may not call parents/carers if an ambulance is required, until after an ambulance is called, depending on the situation
• Toorak Primary School encourages parents and carers to consider obtaining ambulance cover (see Membership - Ambulance Victoria) and/or appropriate medical insurance
