In maths, Magic Maths is in full swing. The students are learning all about the “Learning Pit” and how being challenged helps them to learn. Students complete open-ended maths tasks with enabling (supporting) and extending (challenging) prompts. They have enjoyed showcasing their newfound data and statistics knowledge through real-world problems. The aim of Magic Maths is for students to be able to articulate their reasoning and problem-solving strategies. See some of our awesome examples below.
Just a reminder to keep bringing recyclables for our Inquiry unit. We are after, foil, cling wrap/cellophane, cardboard (boxes and tubes) and reflective materials such as small mirrors or glossy/metallic paper.
