Strength-Based Parenting

With 40% of Australian children describing themselves as “being worried too much” and 31% as “very stressed”, prioritising wellbeing is more critical than ever. Researchers have found that parents can have a positive impact on children’s stress levels and play an important role in helping to cultivate wellbeing and build coping strategies. In this session, parents learn how to:
- Identify, use and cultivate strengths in themselves and their children
- Harness the power of positive emotions
- Unlock the magic mindsets for success
- Use and teach tested strategies to manage stress
- Learn why relating to others is the most important thing children do
- Create goals and positive habits to embed what has been learn

Surviving the Teenage Years: Putting Parents Back in Charge Through Boundary Setting and Clear Communication
