Principal News

I trust all our mothers had a very Happy Mother’s Day yesterday.

A message of thanks is extended to our Events and Fundraising Committee for organising a lovely selection of gifts for the stall on Friday. Special thanks to Lena Weaver for leading the event.

On Monday May 23, Mike Larkin will be at Toorak Primary School to broadcast the Channel 10 weather. The broadcast will begin at about 4.30pm. We would like as many families and children as possible to join us. A BBQ is planned to relieve pressure on parents regarding dinner for their children.

The crossing supervisor on Mathoura Road will now be on duty from 8.15 until 9.15 each morning instead of 8.00-9.00am. The change is effective immediately.

Parent Teacher interviews will take place in the last week of term. As has occurred in previous years, an online booking system will be available prior to the date.

School photos will take place next Tuesday 17th May for all students and staff. Please ensure all students are well groomed and wearing full school uniform.

Thank you to those who came along to the “Night of Celebration” last week. Professional Learning Team leaders presented an overview of our achievements for 2015 as well as our future directions for this year. Kathy Walker provided a great deal of thought provoking reflection on the issues facing parenting in the 21st century.

NAPLAN takes place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for students in years 3 and 5. Please remember NAPLAN is only one form of assessment used by the school to determine the achievements of students. Please ensure the children completing the test are well nourished and well rested. Your support is much appreciated.
