Junior School Council in conjunction with Mr Ben Armstrong from Rotary have been busy raising funds to install water tanks and toilets into primary schools in East Timor.
Many school children in East Timor do not have access to fresh water and and have to walk for up to two hours to collect fresh water. The lack of water means that schools do not have adequate toilet facilities.
The photos below show the children and families of East Timor putting the water tanks in place.
In addition to the water tanks, Toorak Primary donated school furniture, clothing and sporting goods.
We thank the TPS Junior School Council for organising casual clothes days, raffles and other activities to help raise the funds for this very valuable cause and TPS families for their donations.
