Last week Grade 2 students started bringing take home readers. The level of the books they are bringing home will be based on the results of their recent assessments. Whilst they may be reading the books with a good level of fluency, they will each have individual goals that they should be working on. To gain a greater understanding of how you can help, Parent Pipelines will be sent home which outline the strategy they are working on and things that you can do to assist your child.
For example a parent pipeline on Prediction was sent home with last week’s homework, as that was our area of focus that week. Students will also intermittently bring home Parent Pipelines that suit their individualised reading goals. Please take some time to read the Parent Pipelines when your child brings one home and see your child’s classroom teacher if you have any questions.
